To get a different result, you have to do things differently and we strongly believe that in order to achieve real results in financial planning, and indeed in life, success lies in new processes that challenge the status quo.

Our philosophy identifies that there is a "herd" and the herd are the majority of Australians who rightly or wrongly, over time, develop herd like responses to the way they act and think. The current market turmoil we are experiencing is a great result of this. The herd are reacting emotionally to what they see and hear, and their "perspective" is colouring their responses. They are allowing their attitude to effect outcomes and not action.

What we do know for a fact is that the majority of the "herd" retire on statistically low incomes (77% on less than $32k, per annum for people aged over 65 - the bulk on incomes less than $21k) . We believe that most people get caught up in the herd way of thinking, and history is telling us, time and time again that herd thinking does not give us the results most of us desire prior to "retirement".

We have set this site up to provide a distinctively different approach because it is clear to us that although we set off with the best of intentions, we do not always end up where we set out to… we need to do things differently.
